James John is truly a “miracle boy.” CGD is not who he is, it’s what he has. Our little boy has the strength of a warrior, the heart of a lion and a personality of an angel. He has been through more in the past eight months than most will see in a lifetime. One would think his spirit and energy would be down, but it’s completely the opposite. James is a very happy energetic boy who loves sports, trucks, music and art. We sit back and look at him every day, thankful for what we have.
We wouldn’t have survived these past eight months if it were not for the support of our family, friends, and doctors. It’s amazing to witness the amount of people on our journey! So many people have reached out and touched our lives. Thank you doesn’t even seem to be enough. Times have been tough, but it has brought us closer than ever. Going through this has taught us the value of life. We don’t sweat the small stuff any more.
To all that have contributed in the form of donations, basket items, silent auctions, collecting items and selling tickets, we truly cannot thank you enough. We know that it has taken endless hours of time to put this Benefit together and would like to thank each and every one that had a part in making this day a reality. You all are forever in our hearts and memories for making this day come true for James.
We are thanking you not only for today, but for yesterday and all the days to come. We are all in this together and we will persevere and conquer it.
